The Apsar is a medal-coin currency unit only.

The Apsar is NOT a circulating currency at all. What is being issued by the 'Bank of Abkhazia' are medal-coins only. - ( 202.89.140.54 ( talk) 02:15, 12 April 2010 (UTC)) reply

They are legal tender. But you are right, they are issued primarily for collectors, which is mentioned in the introduction. What precisely is your point? sephia karta | dimmi 11:48, 12 April 2010 (UTC) reply

Just because something is legal tender does not mean it circulates. - ( 203.211.71.228 ( talk) 09:09, 8 March 2014 (UTC)) reply

Use of Ҧ instead of Ԥ

Does anyone know why the banknotes are using Ҧ instead of Ԥ? The Wikipedia page on the Abkhaz alphabet, as well as the pages on both these characters mention that the latter replaced the former from 1996. The 2024 banknotes are still using the former. 92.233.54.207 ( talk) 11:43, 12 July 2024 (UTC) reply
