Vimy Ridge was the earliest stage of Arras; WWI battles were often a single "major battle" lasting several months with a number of smaller named battles involved. Canadian history tends to conflate Arras as a whole with Vimy Ridge, by far the most significant part from a Canadian perspective. I've edited the article accordingly.
