Given how minor an event the SEA Games is (compared to the Olympics), it's very unlikely that enough coverage will be generated to sustain separate articles on such minute details. The "bid" article is currently sourced only to a local news site, which does not help establish notability.

Oppose While "SEA Games" indeed are used officially. "Southeast Asian Games" is also an official name of the games. Also favor the longer title for being less vague (more direct and does not imply that only watersports are only contested here) to English-speaking readers outside Southeast Asia.

Wikipedia has many article that use ambiguous but popular name that used in the logo (example
World Series). The article also didn't imply watersports games because there's no other games titled "Sea Games". Keeping the title in favor of readers outside of Southeast Asia is kind of useless because majority of readers that come to these articles is from Southeast Asia or already know what "SEA Games" mean. The readers who don't know already can read the first paragraph: "The [year] SEA Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event..."

Support. Per
WP:COMMONNAME. "SEA Games" is the term most commonly used by reliable sources to refer to the subject. It outnumbers "Southeast Asian Games" by several orders of magnitude in the English-language news sites of the region. I don't see how "SEA Games" fails the Recognizability or Naturalness
WP:NAMINGCRITERIA; a person familiar with the subject area would surely recognise the term "SEA Games", and editors could be reasonably expected to link to it. --
