The result of the move request was: the previous discussion in 2016 that resulted in the use of "Taiwan" titles is at Talk:2016 Taiwanese general election#Should we change the titles of those election articles from "Republic of China xxx elections" to "Taiwanese xxx elections"? and resulted in a consensus to move the articles to titles using "Taiwan" or "Taiwanese", but no strong affirmation of one form or the other. Here, there is consensus to move the pages to titles using "Taiwanese", per the discussion below. Dekimasu よ! 06:45, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

For individual elections and referendums, use the format "Date [adjectival form of country name] type election/referendum", and "Taiwan" does not seem to justify a similar, exceptional case such as done for United Kingdom/United States elections. Impru20 talk 13:09, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

As one pointed out, it is standard practice to exclude candidates with fewer than 5% votes unless second place. Ythlev ( talk) 04:35, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
@ Number 57: Related to our discussion, where is this consensus you speak of? You better start being more explicit about these standards otherwise the disputes will only continue. Ythlev ( talk) 00:50, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
What I'm saying is an MOS ought to be written. Or at least in the template doc. The way you enforce conventions that are lost in the wind is counterproductive. Ythlev ( talk) 14:23, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
Han did not contest the election as Han Kuo-yu. He contested it as Daniel K Y Han (as per CEC website). This should be corrected. Constant Pedant ( talk) 22:51, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
Mainland's espionage operation regarding meddling - support for KMT Kuomintang candidate Han, and anti-Tsai actions - of 2019 is discussed in 19:00 - 27:38 of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdR-I35Ladk (I saw neither "meddl" in the text, nor a hint of this kind of activity in the Contents.) Is this covered in the article sufficiently? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Szozdakosvi ( talk • contribs) 19:18, 10 July 2022 (UTC) -- Szozdakosvi ( talk) 19:22, 10 July 2022 (UTC) /info/en/?search=User_talk:Szozdakosvi
Someone (wasn't actually a user, was rather an edit done by someone showing nothing else but their IP address) literally hijacked this article earlier to make it seem like Tsai Ing-wen received a much higher amount of both votes and vote share than she did (I quickly caught onto how it was wrong based on the map, showing areas where Han still won Taiwanese counties, and obviously the KMT did better in 2020 than it had in 2016), and also made Han's performance appear significantly worse than it actually was.
