Is it really important what shoes Kipchoge (who finished 8th) wore? And Bekele (who didn't compete) was planning to wear? Seem like a trivial detail to me- shoes were only interesting for Kosgei's world record and Kipchoge's 2 hour attempt (both of which they had whole newspapers articles written about them). I think adding details like the shoes to this article is a slippery slope, as we'll end up adding them to every single major marathon article. Joseph 2302 ( talk) 14:10, 5 October 2020 (UTC) reply
