Kieron Pollard: Trinidad and Tobago/South Australia
Aside from perhaps Al-Hasan, who played for Worcs last season, and will play Twenty20 this year, I can't see any reasoning for this. As far as I'm aware, those who played in the Australian Big Bash are not contracted for more than the tournament they played in. Furthermore, why just the Australian sides? ten Doeschate has played Twenty20 for teams in Zimbabwe and New Zealand this winter. The West Indians all played in the last IPL (as I recall), while Bravo and Pollard played in the last English Twenty20. And if we're going down this road - why not Ravi Bopara: Essex/Dolphins? David Hussey: Victoria/Notts. I'd advocate stripping away all second teams. Thoughts?
