There seems to be two quakes back-to-back on Saturday, January 03, 2009:

• Magnitude 7.6 at 19:43:54 UTC ( http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/eqinthenews/2009/us2009bjbn/ )
• Magnitude 7.3 at 22:33:42 UTC ( http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/eqinthenews/2009/us2009bjca/ )
