We may need to remove the names of the fatalities and injured (the section at least, except for the notable one). There may be some privacy issues and WP is not a memorial. Opinions? --

The names of all the injured and killed have been widely published in the media, so there's no privacy issue in putting them here. And listing their names doesn't make it a memorial. Note that all the names are listed at the
Columbine massacre article.

Rubbish Edditing: Presently states that police killed three criminals and after arrest of three criminals made an announcemnt. Clearly one cant arrest the dead so clarification is needed. It is customary and respectful to name the dead even if they are enemies or criminals — Preceding

Proposal to rename article title
I propose the article be moved to
Batasang Pambansa bombing, as this event is the only instance that an explosion has occurred in the Philippine National Assembly.
O
I believe some of these should also be renamed, then. Note, too, that most of the mentioned articles have titles that refer to regions (Bangkok, Zamboanga, Istanbul, Bali) and not a specific location (Columbine High School, USS Cole, PhilSports Arena). Perhaps further discussion could be introduced to your
Tambayan.

That's because the name
has stuck, if a name sticks for this article in the long run (not after a half-a-week), then it'll be ok to move this. There are several names for this event, with or without the year, or the word "pambansa":
Batasang Pambansa bombing
Batasang Pambansa blast
Batasang Pambansa explosion
Wahab Akbar assasination, etc.
To move the article to a another name at this moment is unhelpful, it'll be better if things settle down. Also, the NPA has been targeting the Batasan for ages so there's a good reason why this should stay with a year indicator for the meantime. --HowardtheDuck03:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)reply
I don't care either way, but I'll raise you a
WP:CRYSTAL. (Though I may be raising it inappropriately. Hehehe.) But seriously, arguing for inclusion of the year in the article's name for an event like a bombing because there *might* be future events like that is not a good reason. --
seav03:19, 16 November 2007 (UTC)reply
The article was at "2007 Batasang Pambansa bombing," there is no reason to move it to another title when there's nothing inherently wrong with the title. What can be done is to add more information that'll benefit the article rather than discuss for a move that not benefit anything or anyone. --HowardtheDuck03:23, 16 November 2007 (UTC)reply
Well, it can stay at its current title for the meantime. We can rename it when we see how the media references it in the future. --
seav03:30, 16 November 2007 (UTC)reply
Further confusing matters... the target of the blast apparently wasn't even the Batasang Pambansa itself, just Rep. Akbar. If that turns out to be the case, we might want to scrap/de-emphasize the "Congress' agenda" section.

Yes go ahead... also if this article will be renamed, I'd rather deemphasize the place so it'll be like "Batasan bombing" or even be merged with Akbar's article if there's an extreme measure to be done. --HowardtheDuck02:49, 20 November 2007 (UTC)reply
Arrest
So, from delay of the case due to the writ of
habeas corpus, now the cases are clear: the judge already issued the warrant of arrest not surprisingly against big fish: On
April 28, 2008, Judge Lee issued the warrant and ordered the arrest of former Basilan Representative Gerry Salapuddin, Police Officer 1 Bayan Judda, Jaharun Jamiri and Benjamin Hataman, all indicted with multiple
murder and multiple frustrated murder cases before the court.[1] --
