Comment – It is indeed a single play but an exceptional one due to the extreme rarity of the event, so I don't think that alone would justify a merge. My initial thought is that some of the content in
Grand Slam Single (particularly the "Other instances" section) would not belong in the 1999 NLCS article, so where would that go? In
Grand slam (baseball) perhaps?

Oppose The play has gotten attention by itself in numerous reliable sources, and thus passes
WP:GNG independently of the NLCS. Also, as others have pointed out, the "Other instances" is reliably sourced and not appropriate for a merge. See
