I took my best shot at attempting to provide a pronunciation help for his last name; if anyone's got a better one, by all means go for it. :)

Hi, Can I add him as a Golden State Warriors player? Seems like others already attempted to do so but some other user kept undoing it, along with a lot of other reversions of seemingly well-intentioned edits I can see from the History - thanks. :) --

With the Manual of Style in mind, I propose the following edits:
What do y'all think?
Olessi 22:15, 22 January 2007 (UTC)reply
Hmm, Soviet Union necessary? We have LTSSR already.
M.K. 22:18, 22 January 2007 (UTC)reply
The LTSSR was not an independent state, but a constituent republic of the Soviet Union. Hypothetically, Jasikevičius would have competed internationally for the
Soviet Union national basketball team, not for the LTSSR basketball team. Just listing the LTSSR may lead unknowing readers to assume that Lithuania was then independent instead of foreign-controlled.
Olessi 00:07, 23 January 2007 (UTC)reply
But he did not played for SSSR aka Soviet Union, did he? :)

Golden State Warriors
Someone needs to add the Golden State Warriors players category! —

No way is he 6"6'
I don't care what their website writes him as, he's no way 6"6', I've seen many of his games and he's more likely 6"4', as he's officially listed on ESPN (
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3996 ). Anybody who's seen his games should know it's a ridiculous suggestion.

Ok, I've mentioned both sources. I also believe that he is indeed 6' 4'' and not 6' 6'', however, the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is
verifiability, not truth.

What Gobbledygookie mentioned is right. He's 6'4''. I've seen him myself and what panathinaikos site states is totally incorrect. If you see his nba page you'll also find out.
Sergiogr (

Here are some sites that state his true height.
[1][2][3][4]. Therefore i believe he's more like 6'4 not 6'6
Sergiogr (

Ok, thanks. These are all very good sources. Just keep in mind that we cannot change information based on our own personal experience (per
WP:NOR). I am still debating whether to remove the Panathinaikos source or not. It would be interesting to see what NBA.com said (I believe that qualifies as a
reliable source). If NBA.com says 6' 4'', then I find it doubtful that he grew two inches from age 31 to 32.
Bash Kash (

I looked him up in NBA.com but his personal page has been deleted somehow. Here is what i have found in nba site though

Great. I think based on all of these sources we can say that the Panathinaikos source is inaccurate. All of these (ESPN, NBA.com) qualify as reliable sources. Therefore, I will add them to the article.
