This article is clearly biased in some sections in favor of the subject - almost to the point that it seems to be driven by the subject's marketing people. If Wikipedia is not capable of protecting the article from bias, it should at least feature a disclaimer. Examples:
I have placed a Copyright Violation Tag on this article. The current version of the article appeared to be copied directly from a web site. Furthermore, this article seemed to favor the subject. Previous edits of this article included material that portrayed the subject in a negative light and some editors were actually making discussion comments directly in the article, rather than the talk page. This article needs to be rewritten in an objective, encyclopedic fashion that portrays the subject accurately and without any bias. This may be difficult to accomplish, as the subject is a major political figure in his country, with both fervent supporters and opposers. Subwayatrain ( talk) 07:48, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
What is the current net worth of Álvaro Noboa, does anyone know? RFerreira 01:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
It is estimated that he possess 1 200 million dollars (source, Diario El Universo, Ecuador), which he inherited from his father, Luis Noboa Naranjo. I hope I had answered your question (and please excuse my English, if I made any mistakes). Dalobuca 22:07, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, that is his net, as I've heard on the news. And kudos for this article. This sort of info is not really available in Ecuador. Hope the little pig doesn't win. darynthe
Me too, but I'm sure he will. Dalobuca 21:27, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
As far as I know, he can remain owner and president at the same time. Dalobuca 20:04, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Not only can he remain owner and president, but he will probably use the power of the office to further enrich himself. When he was President of the Monetary Board under Abdala Bucaram, he used political pressure against his step-mother and sisters, to further his control of the inheritance from his father.
"Crusade for a New Humanity" would be translated to Spanish as "Cruzada por/para una Nueva Humanidad". Noboas's foundation name is Cruzada Nueva Humanidad, which doesn't make much sense in Spanish either ("Crusade New Humanity"?)... Dalobuca 17:11, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
It would be good if the article justs mentions what the spending limit was. By my count, if he was 98% over and spent $2.3 million, it would have been about $1.162 million. Of course, maybe it was $1.15 million and he actually spent about $2.277 million Nil Einne 23:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Dear Gg spoker, your edits are purely point-of-view information. Articles in Wikipedia must be written neutral and sourced with neutral sources. Both of this is not the case here. Please read more about this in Wikipedia:NPOV. Best Regards, lomis ( talk) 08:25, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Dear Lomis, thanks for letting me know what I was doing wrong about this article, it was not my intention to fight here but please understand that it was quite awful not to know why any of my editings were always completly deleted without an explanation. Please feed me back about the rest of the article as well. Thanks in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gg spoker ( talk • contribs) 14:15, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your words, I agree to work togheter for a better article. I tried to make the edits more neutral, thanks for the feed back. I saw the changes you made and think they are fine. Looking for new information about the IRS charges. -- Gg spoker ( talk) 17:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
What could be done to avoid having dead link references? most of them are from a local newspaper "El Comercio".-- Gg spoker ( talk) 17:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
