Saturn (rocket family)
→Early development: Lusser's law states that the reliability of the whole system, not one engine, is lower the higher the number of engines. But the reliability of one engine is not decreased if it is associated with other engines... Therefore, multiplying the engines decreases reliability of the system, or of the stage (if each engine is critical).
