→Activism: Taken out of context. The quote came from the chapter on Francois Mitterand and the words are Mitterand's answer to Wiesel's asking him about his beliefs. It is Mitterand who was the Agnostic, not Wiesel. In fact Wiesel was deeply religious and one of the reasons he was known was that he remained religious even after his survival of the Holocaust.
