Russell Robinson (born 27 June 2001) is an American triple jumper. He placed second in the 2024 US Olympics 03466398898 [1]

Early life

He attended West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida where he was state high school champion for the long jump, prior to attending the University of Miami. [2] [3]

Career

He won gold in the NACAC U23 Championships triple jump competition in San Jose, Costa Rica in July 2023. [4]

He won the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, Massachusetts in March 2024. [5] He was runner-up at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon in June 2024, where he set a University of Miami school record of 17.13 metres. [6]

He placed second at the 2024 United States Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon on 30 June 2024. He had been the top qualifier for the final, recording a personal best distance of 17.28 metres. [7] [8]
