Roselinda Soipan Tuya (born 1982) is a Kenyan politician who served as Cabinet secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry. She was the first Maasai woman to be in the Cabinet of Kenya. [1] She was dismissed on 11th July 2024, before being nominated for the position once again on 18th July 2024. However, she was later reassigned to the Defence docket awaiting confirmation by the National Assembly. [2] [3]

Education

She attended The Kenya High School for her secondary education (Class of 1998), then the University of Nairobi graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, and thereafter the University of Washington passing with a Masters of Laws. [4]

Political career

Tuiya served as women's representative for Narok County from 2013 to 2022. [1]

Family

Tuya is the daughter of former Narok South MP Samson Ole Tuiya. [5]
