Paul Noone (born 1979) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Roscommon county team.
He won a Connacht Under-21 Football Championship in 1999. [1] He was then part of the team that knocked future All-Ireland champions Galway out of the Connacht Senior Football Championship and into the newly created All-Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifiers. [2] [3]
Noone also played for Donegal Boston. [4]
In addition, they had selected some of the more promising members of the county under-21 team that had won the Connacht championship, including Paul Noone and Frankie Dolan.
Yet, Grehan could have shared equal billing with others, namely Seamus O'Neill at midfield; corner-forwards Nigel Dineen and Franke Dolan; Connor Connelly just ahead of that duo; Paul Noone at No 4 and goalkeeper Derek Thompson.
Paul Noone at half back brings the same pace to the defence. He was on Michael Donnellan, who's accepted as just about the fastest Gaelic footballer there is but on Sunday he met a faster player. Noone's an athlete.
