The Pastranas are a Colombian family with important political influence. Among its members are important Colombian politicians, including two presidents of the country Misael Pastrana and his son Andrés Patrana Arango, which is why it is considered a relevant family in the Colombian political field since the 19th-century. The surname comes from the Pastrana region, in Guadalajara, Spain. There is no translation of the name since it is a Spanish word.
