Palmulacypraea katsuae, common name : Katsua's cowry, is a species of sea snail, a cowry, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries. [1]
There are two subspecies :
The shell size varies between 15 mm and 24 mm. [2] Cowries are prized for their beauty and diversity, and are mostly used for jewelry. [3]

This species occurs in the Pacific Ocean off Japan and the Philippines; also off New Caledonia.
