Oreonectes translucens is a species of cyprinid of the genus Oreonectes. [1] It inhabits the Xia'ao Cave in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. [1] Described in 2006, it is considered harmless to humans. [1] Unsexed males have a maximum length of 4.6 centimetres (1.8 in). [1] It has 11 dorsal soft rays, 9 anal soft rays and 36 vertebrae. [1] It has not been classified on the IUCN Red List. [1]
