If the same source is being cited 338 times, possibly the <ref> tag isn't the best choice for citing it... --

I've found that having a large number of references to a single reference is particularly useful for lists with a reference for each entry, especially if a certain reference supports the inclusion of a large number of list entries. —

I got past 702 on
this page... it will probably need a lot more, but there are probably few pages that will also have this high a number, so it would probably be better for me to just simplify it.

More than a dozen or so backlinks starts to look ugly and is confusing. Consider the use of {{cref}} for a reference used a large number of times. --——
