Matías Ignacio Fernández Cordero (born 14 August 1995) is a Chilean footballer who plays for Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle as a midfielder or wing back.
He joined to Wanderers’ youth ranks when he was 11. [1]
On second half 2022, Fernández moved to Ecuador and joined Independiente del Valle. [2]
Fernández received his first call up to the Chile national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in October 2023 and made his debut in the match against Peru. [3]
