Martim Moreira Moutinho Fernandes (born 6 February 2006) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Porto B.
Fernandes is a product of the youth academy of Valonguense, before moving to Porto in 2017. On 18 January 2022, he signed his first professional contract with Porto, originally assigned to their reserves. [2] He made his senior and professional debut with Porto B in a 1–0 Liga Portugal 2 loss to Sporting Covilhã in May 2022, and at 16 years and six months old was their youngest ever debutant in the division. [1] In August 2022, he was formally promoted to Porto's reserves. [3] On 28 September 2023, he was named Porto's Young Athlete of the Year. [4] In October 2023, he was named to The Guardian: Next Generation 2023 list of outstanding talents. [5]

With starting right-back João Mário being injured, Fernandes was surprisingly picked by manager Sérgio Conceição to replace Mário in a important match against their rivals Sporting CP, on 29 April. At the match, 18-year-old Fernandes made first-team debut at right-back, and in 4th minute, he went on long run forward, stepped inside Morten Hjulmand who slipped over, and assisted Pepê for Porto's second goal in a 2–2 home draw against Sporting. [7] [8] His promising debut, led him to start Porto's remaining league matches of the season, with the exception of the Taça de Portugal final on May 26, which Porto following a 2–1 defeat of Sporting. [9]
