Krasni ( Armenian: Քռասնի) or Daghdaghan ( Azerbaijani: Dağdağan) is a village in the Khojaly District of Azerbaijan. The village had an ethnic Armenian-majority population before 2023 and in 1989. [2] It was under the de facto control of breakaway Republic of Artsakh until the Azerbaijani takeover of the region in 2023. [3]
During the Soviet period, the village was part of the Askeran District of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.
Historical heritage sites in and around the village include a 19th-century church and cemetery. [1]
The population is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. As of 2015, the village has a municipal building, a house of culture, a secondary school, and a medical centre. [1]
The village had 213 inhabitants in 2005, [4] and 243 inhabitants in 2015. [1]
