Kalodzishchy ( Belarusian: Калодзішчы, romanizedKalodziščy; Russian: Колодишчи, romanizedKolodishchi) is an agrotown in Minsk District, Minsk Region, Belarus. [2] It serves as the administrative center of Kalodzishchy selsoviet. [2] [3] As of 2023, it has a population of 19,898. [1]

History

Kołodziszcze, as it was known in Polish, was a zaścianek. [4] Following the Second Partition of Poland (1793), it was annexed by Russia.

On 31 October 2023, an explosion was reported at a military base near Kalodzishchy. The Ministry of Defence claimed that the explosion had been deliberately orchestrated. [5]
