Born in Tallinn, she spent her earliest years in the subdistrict of
Kopli before the family moved to
Põlva. The family later returned to Tallinn where she graduated from secondary school at the
Pääsküla Gymnasium.[3]
Vainola graduated from
Tallinn University in Estonian philology in 2002 and has worked as a teacher, project manager, and editor and has written lyrics for the bands
Vennaskond and Sõpruse Puiestee. She currently works as the editor-in-chief of the children’s magazine Hea Laps. Since 2014 she is a member of the Estonian Writers' Union.[3]

Allan Vainola. They have two sons.[4]
