John Mushayavanhu is a Zimbabwean central bank governor and former FBC Holdings Limited boss. [1] [2]

Mushayavanhu joined FBC Bank in 1997 as an executive director in the corporate banking division. [3]

RBZ

He was appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to replace John Mangudya in March 2024 by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Controversies

He was instrumental in the introduction of the Zimbabwean ZiG currency to replace the hyperinflation-hit and worthless Zimbabwean dollar.
