Mangham attended
Wylie E. Groves High School in
Beverly Hills, Michigan. In his junior season, he had 25 receptions for 450 yards and eight touchdowns.[1] Mangham was rated as a four star recruit, the 7th best prospect in the state of Michigan and ranked 285th overall in the 2022 national recruiting class.[2] Mangham held offers from Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State and West Virginia.[3] Mangham committed to play
college football at
Michigan State University.[4][5]

In the 2022 season, Mangham notched 20 tackles.[6] In the 2023 season, he started in ten games, recording 53 tackles, one for a loss, seven pass deflections, four interceptions and a fumble recovery. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and media.[7] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Mangham entered the
NCAA transfer portal.[8][9]
