Hazleton is an extinct town in Texas County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place. [1] The village is on the bank of the Big Piney River within the Mark Twain National Forest. [2]
A post office called Hazleton was established in 1890, and remained in operation until 1944. [3] The community has the name of J. Hazleton, proprietor of a local mill. [4]
