Saad has researched how hormones affect and is affected by consumer behavior, such as how
conspicuous consumption affects testosterone levels,[15][16] how testosterone levels affect risk-taking,[17][18][19] and how hormones in the menstrual cycle affect buying decisions.[20][21] He has also researched how men and women differ in
gift giving behaviors.[22][23][24][25]
Saad is quoted writing in his 2023 book 'The Saad Truth about Happiness' that he had been recruited by the Israeli Intelligence agency
Mossad, going through three phases of tests that were presented as missions. Gad Saad further explained how he was the perfect Mossad spy candidate as a Lebanese Jew fluent in the Arabic language, comparing himself with the world-famous
Eli Cohen who also was an Arab speaker of Jewish descent.
