English: 30 December 1947. At the last War Crimes Trial in Dachau, Ger., 15 out of the 19 of the accused were found guilty and their sentences ranged from 5 yrs. to life imprisonment with one death sentence. The accused former SS Master Sgt. Erhard Brauny was sentenced to life imprisonment for his terrible crimes against humanity. President of the court was Col. Frank Silliman of Philadelphia, Pa., who passed sentence on the 15 accused. The guards that guarded each of the accused as they were brought in; are: L.: Pvt. Daniel Surita of P.O. Box 644 Hammond, Ind. In back of accused: S/Sgt. Wm. F. Wielochowski of 1650 Norris St., Camden, N.J.-R.; Private Ernest C. Westbrook of 1517 1/2 Michigan Ave., Clearwater, Florida and the interpreter, Rudolf Nathanson of New York, N.Y.
