Coast Guard Marine Science Technician 2nd Class Ryan Erpelding, assigned to U.S. Coast Guard Sector Hawaii, moves a barrel with hazardous waste towards the back of a truck in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Coast Guardsmen attached to U.S. Coast Guard Sector Hawaii, Soldiers from U. S. Army National Guard Hawaii and Environmental Protection Agency officials are searching along the coastline and inland for hazardous materials which might have been carried away after an earthquake and resulting tsunami struck the region.
