English: South Pacific Ocean (June 30, 2004) - Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class Randy McCleod, of Warrenton, Miss., prepares a Mark-16 Underwater Breathing Apparatus carbon-dioxide filter in preparation for exercises scheduled with the Peruvian Special Forces. Ronald Reagan is in the South Pacific Ocean transiting to its new homeport of San Diego. Reagan is currently in the South Pacific Ocean transiting to its new homeport of San Diego, while participating in exercises supporting Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
