South face - Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, Bushnell Park, Hartford, Connecticut, USA. This arch and its artwork was dedicated Sept. 17, 1886, and hence is no longer subject to any form of copyright restrictions. According to records in the Smithsonian Institute, the south frieze was carved by Caspar Buberl (1834-1899) which matches the signature on the frieze. Again, copyright has expired since he died more than 70 years ago.
