Outrigger boat from looted from the island of Luf, Hermit Islands, Bismarck Archipelago, Papua New Guinea, after a punitive expedition by colonial German government. There were hundreds of such boats that sailed in the area of the Hermit Islands before the arrival of the Europeans.
