English: On the final leg of his trip to the other Group of Eight countries, Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori met with President Bill Clinton of the United States at the White House, in Washington, D.C. The two leaders agreed that in addition to continued measures to stimulate the economy, Japan needed to press ahead with bold structural reform, for the sake of both Japan's economic recovery and the stability of the world economy. They also exchanged views on the main agenda items of the July G8 Kyushu-Okinawa Summit and confirmed that they would cooperate to ensure the success of the Summit.
