June 1926, 8 ft. x 5 ft. canvas hanging in the Robinson Jeffers Room on the main floor of the Occidental College Library, Los Angeles, California, USA. A plaque at the bottom of the painting reads: Robinson Jeffers 1887-1962 American poet of the inhumanist school, translator of Medea, graduate of Occidental College, class of 1905. Original oil painting done in June 1926 by "Rem" Remsen of Carmel. It was a gift of Yodee Remsen Johnson and Dr. Charles Mallory Remsen.
