DescriptionPasser domesticus -with an insect for her young -female -nest-8b.jpg
English: A pair of house sparrows nested inside a tree hole near Mojave, California, USA. While the male keeps guard (not seen in the photograph) and fights of a pesky Scrub Jay, the female flies frequently in to the hole to feed her young. For this photograph the camera was set up and fired remotely as the bird landed on the hole in the tree. The photographer was hiding behind a wall.
