English: The construction of the Paul trap, that will act as a radiofrequency cooler and buncher for the compact MIRACLS experiment at ISOLDE, currently under construction, is finished. The Paul trap prepares the beam received from ISOLDE for an injection into the ion trap, where the actual measurements are going to take place. Especially, the ions are cooled inside the Paul trap via Helium as a buffer gas. Following the cooling, ion bunches of well defined energy and time properties are extracted from the Paul trap and injected into the following ion trap for laser spectroscopic measurements.
