NOTE: Although the Japanese
attack on Pearl Harbor took place on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941, Hawaiian time, as Japan is West of the
International Date Line it was Monday there thus making December 8, 1942, the correct date in Asia to observe the first anniversary of the start of the War.
