DescriptionGauron Bridge in Montreal from southeast (2017).jpg
The Pont Gauron (Gauron Bridge), in Montreal, viewed from the southeast. It is a single-leaf bascule bridge built in 1912 and is one of two adjacent bridges that cross the Lachine Canal to connect Avenue Dollard, in La Salle, with Avenue Saint-Pierre, in Lachine, the other bridge being the younger Lafleur Bridge (built in 1959). The bascule draw spans of the two bridges no longer function.
