La parte inferior o segunda franja es de color verde, y significa la esperanza, representando además la fertilidad de las tierras belalcazaritas. En el centro de la bandera, cobijando pliegues amarillos y verde, se destaca una estrella blanca de cinco puntas, que significa el hombre.
