English: Drawing of a double grave slab discovered in the ruins of the chapter house at Dale Abbey during the 1878 excavations. Probably of a married couple, probably donors to the abbey who were buried there. Both sides have an incised cross. One has a pair of shears, the other a sword and a shield, possibly with a horseshoe, suggesting a knightly family. Drawing by Alan Beamish and reproduced at Hope, W. H. St John (1879). "
