Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde wurde am 1. Januar 1975 durch Vereinigung von Bergöschingen, Hohentengen, Lienheim und Stetten gebildet. Das Wappen, das mit der Flagge am 12. Dezember 1980 durch das Landratsamt Waldshut verliehen wurde, spiegelt die früheren territorialen Verhältnisse wider. Das vordere Feld enthält das Wappen des Hochstifts Konstanz in der auf ein halbes Kreuz reduzierten Form. Hohentengen und Lienheim gehörten bis zu ihrem Anfall an Baden 1803 zum Territorium des Hochstifts, das außerdem im Spätmittelalter Besitz in Bergöschingen hatte. Das hintere Feld zeigt das Stammwappen der Fürsten von Schwarzenberg. Bergöschingen und Stetten waren bis 1806 Teil der seit Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts schwarzenbergischen Landgrafschaft Klettgau.
