Yassine Mekhnache (born 19 July 1979) popularly known as Yaze is a French artist. [1] [2]
In 2008, Yassine debuted his first gallery exhibition titled "Sponge Up" at the LJ Beaubourg gallery in Paris. [3]
In 2015, Yassine became the focal point of the documentary 'Color Box' (Encré), directed by filmmaker Rachid Djaïdan. [4] The documentary chronicles the journey of the Franco-Algerian artist as he readies himself for his inaugural exhibition in New York, "Wandering," which premiered at the Catherine Ahnell Gallery in New York.
In 2017, Yassine's artistic were showcased at the Chamarande Castle in Essone, France, complemented by a musical performance by Nigerian musician Keziah Jones. [5] [6]
In 2022, Yassine collaborated with the 19m Gallery in Paris, France, to curate an exhibition entitled 'Episode 2: Murdiya,' featuring Chanel's community of artisans and creative professionals. [7] [8] [9]
