The Colorifics were a musical group founded in 1994 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The original lineup consisted of Lindsey Davis (also known as Lily Frost), Jorge Diaz, Dave Lachance, and Bernie Boulanger. Lincoln Clarke was responsible for naming the band and taking their initial promotional photographs.

The Colorifics were part of the West Coast cocktail nation lounge/swing revival scene. Their music combined modern, sometimes provocative lyrics with a 1960s aesthetic and rockabilly influences. Initially focusing on cover songs, the band shifted to performing original material, with Bernie Boulanger as the primary songwriter and both Boulanger and Davis contributing as singer-songwriters.

In 1995, band members Jorge Diaz and Dave Lachance moved to Seattle, where they joined Friends of Dean Martinez as the rhythm section.

Though initially operating as an independent group, The Colorifics garnered interest from several record labels, including Arista, Hollywood Records, and Nepotism. Despite these opportunities, the band chose to remain independent. They were notably the first band featured at The Blue Lizard Lounge, a monthly event held at the Waldorf Hotel, and were influential in the cocktail nation revival in Vancouver, contrasting with the prevalent grunge movement of the mid-1990s.

From 1996 to 1997, The Colorifics performed bi-weekly at The Showbox in Seattle and toured extensively along the West Coast, including cities such as Seattle, San Francisco, Oregon, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Vancouver.

In 2007, Lindsey Davis departed from The Colorifics to pursue a solo career under the name Lily Frost, eventually signing with Nettwerk Music Group in 2000. Bernie Boulanger continued with the band under the new name The Colorifixs, collaborating with various vocalists. He later reverted to The Colorifics and continues to perform in Vancouver with a rotating lineup of singers and drummer John Rule, who has been with the band for over two decades.

Girlie Door Guilty Pleasures Living City Where There's Smoke (written during the band's early years but released under The Colorifics on Bandcamp in 2002) A music video for the song "Soda Pop," directed by Lincoln Clarke and Alain Durenceau, is available on YouTube.

The Colorifics have connections with various acts including Blue Lizard Lounge, The Molestics, Ray Condo, The Rattled Roosters, Combustible Edison, Les Minstrels, The Squirrel Nut Zippers, Pink Martini, and Reverend Horton Heat.
