Shane Burrell was born in 1980 in Penrith, Australia. He now lives in Newcastle, Australia. After graduating high school in a small rural city Dubbo, Shane started a business in post-production called Industrial Media Worx. In 2001, Shane moved to Newcastle to join his brother Luke Burrell. Together they created a design studio called Mezzanine-media.
In 2011, Shane launched a new post-production company called Final Post. It was this business that allowed him to expand and provide services to the film industry.
As a colourist. [1], Shane has worked on many feature films and documentaries over the years [2]. Primarily working on Filmworkz (Digital Vision) NUCODA and DaVinci Resolve.
In recent years, he has been venturing outside the studio and picking up a camera. In 2016 a solo exhibition of images captured during a project in Kenya and Uganda raised money for the work of Australian charity Baptist World Aid. Joining his wife, they are documenting a poetic ob-doc of children affected by war in Ukraine [3]
