Saleha ( transl. Pious) is an Indonesian television series which premiered on (TV network) on May 10 2024 18:25 UTC+07:00 , it stars Syifa Hadju, Harris Vriza, & Teuku Ryan as the main leads. [1]
From the moment she was born into the world, Saleha not only lost her biological mother who died giving birth to her, but also her biological father. Her father Darmawan was unwilling to raise Saleha due to thinking that his beloved wife's Arini death was caused by her. Saleha was raised by Grandma Siti in her home alongside her adopted son and wife, Ramdani and Dita. Azzam and Ghania, Ramdani and Dita's two children, also live in the house. Saleha was willing to give up her desire to go to university and had to work as a delivery courier to help the family's economy.
While working, Saleha often takes photos of luxurious houses, cars and campuses, then uploads them to her social media. This habit made her the target of Nando and his friends. Nando is forced to work with his friend to kidnap Saleha to get money for his sister's medical treatment. Nando and his friends thought Saleha comes from a wealthy family. Long story short, Saleha was successfully kidnapped, then Nando called Grandma Siti to ask for a ransom.
Hearing that Saleha had been kidnapped, Grandma Siti is shocked and tried to find her adopted granddaughter's whereabouts. Unfortunately, on the way, she suffered a heart attack because of shock and eventually died. Nando, knowing that Saleha was a wrong target, fought his friends to free Saleha. Saleha managed to return home escorted by Nando. Upon Saleha's return, Ramdani, Dita, and Ghania blamed Saleha for the death of Grandma Siti, then kicked Saleha out of the house.
Using the address of Darmawan's house in Jakarta given by Dita. Saleha, accompanied by Azzam goes to Jakarta to look for Darmawan, her biological father who in reality, is still alive. [2]
