Rani Khan is a transgender activist from Pakistan and teacher of the Quran at Pakistan's first trans-only madrasa (Islamic religious school), [1] [2] Al Fatima tuz Zahra. [3]
According to Khan, it is the first madrasa for trans people in the world; [4] it is the first such initiative in Pakistan, although Pakistan has funded state schools for trans people in Lahore. [5]
Prior to teaching, Khan was a dancer, [4] [6] [7] and also works as a shopkeeper. [8]
