  • Comment: Well done on creating the draft, and it may potentially meet the relevant requirements (including WP:GNG, WP:ANYBIO, WP:NPOL) but presently it is not clear that it does.
As you may know, Wikipedia's basic requirement for entry is that the subject is notable. Essentially subjects are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. To properly create such a draft page, please see the articles ‘Your First Article’, ‘Referencing for Beginners’ and ‘Easier Referencing for Beginners’.
Please note that the references are not formatted correctly (see Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor and Wikipedia’s Manual of Style for help).
Additionally, the draft tends to read too much like a CV, which Wikipedia is not.
Also, if you have any connection to the subject, including being paid, you have a conflict of interest that you must declare on your Talk page (to see instructions on how to do this please click the link).
Please familiarise yourself with these pages before amending the draft. If you feel you can meet these requirements, then please make the necessary amendments before resubmitting the page. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page, the WP:THREE best sources that establish notability of the subject.
It would also be helpful if you could please identify with specificity, exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:ANYBIO criteria #3, because XXXXX").
You may also wish to leave a note for me on my talk page and I would be happy to reassess. Cabrils ( talk) 04:35, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

Mike Davey, Born (6/27/1966), is known for being the Mayor of Key Biscayne from 2018-2022, Commissioner of Key Biscayne from 2006-2018, and a Democrat running for Congressional District 27 in Miami, Florida.

Early Life

Growing up in New York, Mike was the oldest of three and raised by first-generation American parents. His mother had an important impact on him, instilling the value of equal rights and the importance of women leaders. He wound up marching with his mom for the ERA in the 70s. He was an altar boy and enjoyed playing baseball. At 11 years old, he got his first job and bagged groceries through high school.

College Education

During college, Mike was a diver and cleaned boats. This opportunity allowed him to travel South America and the Caribbean. He attended night classes at Harvard and graduated with a Bachelor's in History in 1996. During the day, he would work at a public policy firm. Then, he went to Law school at Fordham University, graduating in 2000.

Career

Following the 9/11 terror attack, Mike left New York and moved to Key Biscayne, Miami to start his own firm. He wanted to make sure worker's rights were valued and represented them doing employment law. He began to get involved in local politics when local officials refused to try and make the streets safer for the Elementary school students at the end of his street. This compelled him to run for city commission, which he won in 2006. As a Councilman and Mayor, he kept taxes down, established Key Biscayne High School, and fought for sustainability. In 2024, he is running for Congress in District 27.

Personal Life

In his free time, Mike has enjoyed coaching Youth Baseball. He wound up meeting his Wife Maria, who had fled Peru during the Shining Path's violent terrorist attacks. He became a stepdad to her son and they soon had a daughter together. Mike was raised by a socially progressive, but fiscally moderate family. His upbringing did not make him a strong partisan, but the 2008 election inspired his alliance with the Democratic party; supporting Obama and later, Clinton.
