Matt Wilson is an American vocalist and songwriter from Buffalo, New York. Wilson competed on the 21st season of the television series American Idol [1] [2] [3] where he placed top 20 and was mentored by fellow singer Allen Stone. [4] [5] During his time at Idol, Wilson received a standing ovation from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan later released several singles and collaborated with other recording artists.
After Idol in 2023 Matt sung the national anthem for the Buffalo Bills. [6]
Matt is a preschool teacher and is married. [7] [8]
